THE TESTS OF THE
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the Beast: for it is the
number of a man; and his number is six
hundred threescore and six.
And here is the mind which hath wisdom.
The seven heads are seven mountains, on

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat
on the throne a book written within and on
the backside, sealed with seven seals
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a
loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book,
and to loose the seals thereof?
The Lords voice crieth unto the city, and
the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear
ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
Who is the wise man, that may understand
this? and who is he to whom the mouth of
the Lord hath spoken, that he may declare it,
for what the land perisheth and is burned up
like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak
not according to this word, it is because there
is no light in them.
And they come unto thee as the people cometh,
and they sit before thee as my people, and they
hear thy words, but they will not do them: for
with their mouth they shew much love, but
their heart goeth after their covetousness.
And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely
song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and
can play well on an instrument: for they
hear thy words, but they do them not.
And when this cometh to pass (lo, it will
